Colour: Deep copper – like the hulls of rusty boats
Nose: A fisherman’s hut next to the harbour that has just had a fresh paint job. Under the initial layers of Dulux is the undertones of drying kippers smoked over that classic Islay peat fire. With a slight saltiness to the nose it is reminiscent of a bonfire on a beach.
Taste: In a private members club with the oily patrons smoking cigars while lounging on their leather wingbacks next to a open roaring peat fuelled fire. A splash of hoppy ale infused with cloves finishes the palate.
Finish: Strong warm finish which will provide plenty of heat on a cold day, it lingers enough to help brave the coldest of storms.
Price: good stockists around £45
